A friend encouraged me to seek prayer for healing from someone who had received a significant miracle from God. When I had my appointment, I got more than I bargained for!

The prayer team invited me to share my life story and took notes as I talked. Prayer ministry included simple yet profound prayers of forgiveness and renunciation. Then the person ministering said they would deal to the demonic. As they prayed, I didn’t feel anything in particular but noticed I was yawning repeatedly through this time. At the end of the prayer time, I felt lighter.

That night I awoke a number of times. This was not an unusual occurrence. What was unusual was a significant feeling of peace and a decided lack of troubled thoughts. I was practiced at managing these troubled thoughts on a regular basis. When I recounted this to the prayer team the next day, they confirmed that the troubled thoughts had been evidence of a tormenting spirit, and now that it was gone, the freedom was so significant.

I couldn’t believe my peaceful new norm! We can acquire the demonic through the experience of life, but Jesus came to set us free. This is our birthright in Him. I am very grateful.

And my original reason for seeking prayer – a significant reduction in pain and believing for further healing.
