Recently I experienced a serious fracture to my leg. Due to medical misadventure and a comedy of errors this was not x-rayed or diagnosed for five weeks despite my obvious problems walking.

Early in that five-week period I had prayer with the team at Freedom and Fire for a handful of issues including what I thought was a sprained ankle and just a serious blow a bit further up the leg. When it was eventually x-rayed the medical team discovered a fracture and were also very surprised to discover that this was already approx. 80% healed!

The extent to which it had healed was a surprise because this type and scale of fracture is inherently unstable and seldom if ever heals on its own. Sometimes screws etc are required. I thank God for his healing initiative over that first five weeks.

The same day I received the news about the fracture and its healing I received the results of a biopsy from my neck. The skin cancer specialist had been quite concerned that this might be (an early stage) melanoma. The biopsy result determined that it was a freckle!

I finished that day feeling absolute joy and with a sense that God had his arms around my health issues.
