I nervously got in touch with the team at Freedom and Fire to pray through the weight of accusation that hung over me. I had tried counselling and books and all the things you do by your own strength, and as a last resort headed to God. Isn’t that a tragic reality we embody!? But what a gracious and healing time we had.

God moved in dramatic ways and the team were encouraging and gentle throughout our prayer time together. The woman ministering has a true anointing - sensing a spirit of self-hatred and perfectionism and named that. Not in my wildest dreams was I prepared for the way God moved, but I felt safe - the peace of God was tangible.

It’s been a few months since I spent this time with the team, however it will remain a significant moment in my story - God has healed me. I can freely own the season of life I’m in, embracing who God has created me to be (and is still forming). I need to daily lay before Him the voices that want to sink their teeth into me again, but it has provided a reliance on God like never before.
