I am in awe of God. He has surprised me with revealing more of Himself and teaching me more about His heart. I am fascinated by the wonder of the cross. I can see the cross holding the heart of Jesus and constantly pumping out His power. This rhythmically brings- power to heal, power to forgive, and power to make everything right again. Jesus came that we may have life and life to the full, Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Their plans are polar opposite, I chose what God has for me.

This is my testimony .....

In August of 2013 I was diagnosed with Celiac disease by a blood test. Prior to that diagnosis, I had terrible rashes that were intensely itchy, blistery and quite sore. I was plagued with these rashes for about 10 years before receiving the Celiac diagnosis. This rash is called ‘Dermatitis Herpetiformis’ and it is a rash that has been linked to Celiac. Both conditions are autoimmune disorders and neither one is medically curable.

So, when I met up with the ministry team for prayer, I had been diagnosed with Celiac for 9 years but had dealt with symptoms of the disease for 19 years. I was healed that day! And this is where I was amazed at the power of the cross over a condition that I had lived with for so long. The blood of Jesus and His power to heal, hit me in an instant.

The healing started with another problem. One of my legs had been shorter than the other. It was a small difference, but it would put my back out frequently. So, on my healing day, I sat with my back against the wall and stretched my legs out straight. One leg was about 1 cm shorter than the other. The person praying for me lifted my leg and we got ready to pray. In that instant, I began to feel a tingling in my hip and then the tingling went down my leg towards my friend’s hands. Suddenly, my friend said “Ohhh!”. I looked up and my legs were the same length. We hadn’t even prayed yet! Next, we prayed over this Celiac Condition and after that I left the session and was amazed at how balanced I felt. I did activities that would have put my back out, but I had no discomfort. After about a week I thought, ‘I can’t deny that my leg grew and I am healed of my back problems, maybe God healed me of the celiac disease?’

This is where I must back up and tell a story. Approximately 4 weeks before I was prayed for, I had a gluten slip up that resulted in a rash flare up. Determined to find out how this had happened, I scoured through my pantry to find the source. I noticed a new brand of baking powder and checked the back; sure enough gluten was listed in the ingredients. I had baked a patch of cookies and had put ONE teaspoon of baking powder in the whole batch of dough, then I ate ONE cookie and reacted.

Now back to me wondering if God had healed the Celiac Disease. I decided to test it out and ate 3 pieces of gluten containing pizza. I had no reaction! Just like that. God’s goodness and freedom pumped over me. It’s been 2 months; I’m freely eating gluten and no longer react.

I’m so grateful for this miracle and for the testimony that could impact others to also know the freedom God so desires for them.
